Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall decided to live of everything the land gave him when he moved to a small farmstead in Dorset a few years ago. He made a great TV serie about it and he really got me thinking about cooking seasonally and 'living of the land'. Now he has a website and an organisation, River Cottage HQ.
